Microgaming Launches Android Air
Microgaming vies for a bigger share of the mobile gaming market with launch of new app.
Leading software provider Microgaming has announced the launch of Android Air, a new Android-compatible app that already has eight top Microgaming games available.
The games on this Adobe Air-based app are accessible via a straight-forward lobby, and players will be able to update the games through WiFi.
Updated banking and registration features mean Android Air is easy to use, while Microgaming's Player Grouping, Bonus Balance and Player Communication Manager are all available on the new platform.
The app is just the latest step into the fast-growing mobile gaming industry for Microgaming, which expects to have almost 30 games available on Android Air by the end of 2011.
"We feel our revolutionary new product will have a huge impact on the mobile market and gaming industry as a whole," said Microgaming executive, Neill Whyte.
He continued, "Microgaming has the strongest portfolio of gaming assets in the industry, which we can leverage to fully exploit the opportunity that the rapid growth in Android based smartphones represents."
